Kim Hyun-Joong finally have decided. He decided to leave his old management company DSP and join Bae Yong-Joon’s management company. Other KStars already part of the company are Lee Na-Young, Choi Gang-Hee, Lee Bo-Young, Park Yea-Jin, etc. Before Kim Hyun-Joong had decided, he was seen meeting with Bae Yong-Joong privately. No words have spoken whether he would continue to be part of SS501.

SS501 Kim Hyun-Joong participated in a charity concert in solo in midst of his contract complications. He had appeared in concert “K-POP MEETS P-POP” alone without his fellow SS501 members which was a charity event for single mothers. This was done while there has been issues with his contract with his management company.
It was told that after his activities in Philippines, he will put a stop on all his activities until he resolves his management issues. His exclusive contract with DSP entertainment had ended on June 8th and SS501 homepage told that all SS501 activities will end on June 18th.
It was also told that Kim Hyun-Joong had donated ~$25,000 towards a charity group in Philippines and this money will be used to build educational facilities for needy high school students.

It was reported that Super Junior Choi Si-Won will be taking over the role that seemed to belong to Kim Hyun-Joong in Iris 2 – Athena: Goddess of War. Prior, there was a speculation that Kim Hyun-Joong will be joining the drama but didn’t work out. Choi Si-Won will be acting the role of newbie NTS (kinda like CIA) agent who follows another NTS agent Jung Woo-Sung as his mentor. Other than Jung Woo-Sung, Iris 2 boasts all star cast including Cha Seung-Won, Soo-Ae, Lee Ji-Ah, and SNSD Yoona.

Group Eight, who produced Korean version of the hit drama Boys Before Flowers in Korean version, recently announced that they will produce a Korean version of Mischievous Kiss. Mischievious Kiss is a popular Japanese comic that rivals Boys Before Flowers and the drama version of the comic already had been created in Japan and Taiwan. (sound familiar?)
Kim Hyun-Joong was voted as the best person to take the lead role in the new drama by the fans, followed by SS501 Kim Hyung-Joon, Jang Geun-Suk, Super Junior Choi Si-Won, and Kim Bum. The drama will start filming on early July and is scheduled to be aired on Fall 2010.

We are so used to see our favorite idols being overly charismatic and professional that we often forget how young they really are. Everyone who saw behind-the-scene videos of SS501 members can tell you they’re truly a bunch of kids at heart. And you know how kids shouldn’t be left alone around scissors, knives or other cutting devices. Because, even if they somehow manage to avoid hurting themselves (or others), they will surely use these things to express their artistic nature on a/ your precious velvet drapes, b/ the dog or their little sister’s hair, c/ their own clothes. And judging by their latest performances, our lovely boys chose the c/ option on their expensive designer shirts and jackets. With “interesting” results to say the least.
Being in a fine mood, I won’t send the fashion police after them but have them reflect on their behavior (see-through patches on men’s clothes is bad, people !) while doing community service, which may or may not include repair work in my house wearing close-fitting T-shirts.

This is the final week where Yuri and Tiffany of SNSD will continue with their vacation and give Music Core a miss.
And in their absence, it was revealed that SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, KARA’s Goo Hara and Han Seungyeon will be the special MCs for the June 12th episode of Music Core. With the trio under the same label, DSP Media, it will be interesting to see their interaction on stage.
