Goo Hye Sun releases digital single tomorrow! June 16

Multi-talented star Ku Hye-sun will be releasing her digital single tomorrow, according to her agency YG Entertainment on Tuesday.
YG announced in a press release that Ku will release digital single “Brown Hair” on Wednesday which has been rearranged by bossa nova pianist Choi In-young.
Ku, who composed and wrote the song herself, displays her clear singing voice in the single with a simple yet unique melody.
Ku, who had originally planned to debut as a singer, started acting in several TV dramas and rose to fame throughout Asia after her role in the hit KBS series “Boys over Flowers” last year.
She is known as a talented artist, novelist and scriptwriter, and made her directorial debut with her first full-length feature film “Magic,” opening in local theaters on June 24, which premiered at the Jeonju International Film Festival in April.
She recently won “Spotlight Award” at the 12th Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia for her short feature “The Madonna” over the weekend.

Korean actress Ku Hye-sun scored a win as a film director with her short feature “The Madonna” at the 12th Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia.
The actress, who received a special invitation to screen her short pic, was awarded the “Spotlight Award” at the event, she announced on her official Twitter page on Sunday.
She thanked the crew saying, “The staff had such a hard time [making the film]. Dinner on me. Everyone gather up.”
“Madonna,” about a Catholic priest and nun performing euthanasia for people, was Ku’s first short film which she directed in 2008.
The pic had been shown at several film events last year including the Asiana International Short Film Festival, the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival and the Pusan Asian Short Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award.
Ku, who had originally planned to debut as a singer, started acting in several TV dramas and became a household name throughout Asia after starring in the hit KBS drama “Boys Over Flowers” last year.
Known to many as also a talented artist, novelist and scriptwriter, she recently made her directorial debut with her first full-length feature film “Magic” which premiered at the Jeonju International Film Festival in April.
Other Korean films competing in the film fest include “Dream For a Masterpiece” (directed by Choi Moon-su), “A School Rep.” (Park Sang-joon) and “Familyship” (Yoon Hye-ryeom).
Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia will be held in Tokyo from June 10 through 20.

Why Goo HyeSun cried when she met YoonA
Goo Hye-sun started to tear as soon as she met SNSD’s Yoona.
At WinWin program, Goo Hye-sun states that, these days she really likes SNSD’s Yoona. Through SNSD’s choreographer, Goo Hye-sun found out Yoona’s telephone number. Since then, Goo Hye-sun and Yoona have texted each other but have never met in person.
Yoona was the second surprise guest for Goo Hye-sun.
Goo Hye-sun became tearful and was very excited to see Yoona. Goo Hye-sun said, “It is so nice, I cannot stop the tears.” Yoona said, “When Hye-sun unnie texted me that she likes me, I was so amazed.”
MC Taeyeon who is the leader of SNSD said, “It is interesting that two people who are as pretty as dolls like each other–it is like similar people meeting similar people.”
The other surprise guest is Dara of 2NE1.

Goo Hye Sun and Sandara Park are good friends?
The main guest star on today’s KBS 2TV Win Win was Boys Over Flowers star Goo Hye Sun. 2NE1’s Sandara Park also made a special appearance on the show and she revealed that she’s good friends with Goo Hye Sun.
Goo Hye Sun is under the same label, YG Entertainment and Sandara revealed that Goo Hye Sun quickly befriended her around 6 years ago. Sandara also read an email in which Goo Hye Sun wrote to Sandara while she was in the Philippines saying to be healthy and return quickly. As 2NE1 is currently inactive due to promotions, Sandara stated that she was happy that she was able to appear on TV after a long time because of Goo Hye Sun. Sandara Park also revealed that she wants to meet the F4 from Boys Over Flowers. If you can recall, Sandara Park already met Lee Min Ho through the Cass Beer promotions.

Goo Hye Sun working as a shoe shiner

What would you do if Goo Hye-Sun was shining a shoe in middle of Myung-Dong which is busier than the busiest place in Manhatten?
Well, people got to really find out. Through the talk show Seung-Seung-Jang-Goo hosted by Kim Seung-Woo, Goo Hye-Sun really did shine a shoe on May 25th in middle of Myung-Dong and people with cleverest answers to the question were actually asked to perform what they have stated in their answers. As you can see, there is one person who is painting Goo Hye-Sun while she is shining a shoe.
